How to Ensure Total Traffic Encryption

Simply installing an SSL is not enough; you must force all visitors to use the secure protocol. Follow this manual to enable HTTPS enforcement.

Step 1: Locate Enforcement Toggle

In the SSL Ledger, find the domain you wish to harden.

Step 2: Activating Force HTTPS

  1. Toggle the "Force HTTPS" switch to ON.
  2. BoostonCP will automatically add a 301 Redirect rule to the Nginx/Apache configuration.

Step 3: Monitoring Expiry Alerts

The ledger displays a real-time countdown to your certificate expiry. If Auto-Renewal is active (default for Let's Encrypt), the system will re-synchronize the link 30 days before it expires. If using a manual certificate, you will receive an email alert when it is time to rotate the keys.

SEO ADVANTAGE: Forcing HTTPS improves your site's ranking on Google and prevents "Insecure Site" warnings from appearing in modern browsers.
