How to Audit Your Website Files for Threats

BoostonCP provides an integrated security engine to protect your data from malicious code. Follow this manual to perform a manual security audit of your hosting environment.

Step 1: Open the Security Portal

Navigate to Security Scanner from your User Dashboard.

Step 2: Define Scan Scope

  1. Select the Target Directory you wish to audit. By default, you should scan /public_html to cover all your websites.
  2. Click "Initialize Neural Scan".

Step 3: Monitoring Progress

The neural engine will index your files and audit them against a real-time threat database. You can see the total number of files scanned and the detected threats in the Live Output Terminal.

MANUAL TIP: Large directories (with thousands of files) may take several minutes to complete. You can leave the page; the scan will continue in the background.
