How to Monitor and Secure Your FTP Fleet
The FTP Ledger provides a centralized command center for auditing all file transfer identities. Follow this manual to manage your existing accounts.
Step 1: Rapid Account Discovery
Use the Neural Search Bar at the top of the ledger to filter accounts by username or path. For large environments, use the "Filter by User" dropdown to isolate accounts belonging to specific clients.
Step 2: Managing Passwords
- To view a hidden password, click the "Eye Icon" in the credentials column.
- To copy the key instantly, use the "Copy Icon".
- To rotate a password, you must delete the account and recreate it with a new key (coming soon: instant password rotation tool).
Step 3: Account Deactivation (Deletion)
When an FTP user no longer requires access:
- Find the user in the ledger.
- Click the Trash (Delete) Icon.
- Confirm the deletion. BoostonCP will instantly remove the system user and invalidate the credentials while keeping the website files intact.
ADMIN WARNING: Deleting an FTP account does NOT delete the website files. It only removes the ability to access those files via the FTP protocol.
