Establishing Identical Infrastructure Nodes

Whether you are upgrading your hardware or moving to a different data center, the Booston-to-Booston replication tool ensures a 1:1 identical mirror of your user accounts.

Step 1: Connecting the Nodes

  1. On the Target Server (the new node), go to Migration Center > Node Replication.
  2. Enter the Source Host IP, Remote User, and Password.
  3. Select "MODE: SCAN" and click Execute. This will fetch a purnongo list of all users, their emails, crons, and databases.

Step 2: Sequential User Sync

  1. Review the user list. You will see detailed telemetry for each user, including disk usage and number of databases.
  2. Select the users you wish to replicate.
  3. Select "MODE: MIGRATE" and click "EXECUTE REPLICATION".

Step 3: Understanding the 5-Phase Sync

The replication process follows a strict sequential protocol to ensure data integrity:

  • Phase 1: Identity Provisioning: Recreating the user account, email addresses, and password hashes.
  • Phase 2: Web Infrastructure: Building identical VHosts and PHP-FPM pools.
  • Phase 3: Binary Assets: High-speed transfer of all wwwroot and vmail data.
  • Phase 4: Neural Database Sync: Direct dumping and re-importing of all MySQL/MariaDB stores.
  • Phase 5: Cron & FTP Link: Re-establishing the user's automated tasks and FTP access points.

Step 4: Final System Audit

Once finished, the system will perform a global reload of Nginx, BIND9, Postfix, and Dovecot. Your new node is now an exact replica of the source environment. Simply update your license IP in the Client Area to complete the transition.
