Establishing the Panel Identity
The General Settings module defines how users access your BoostonCP node. Follow this manual to configure your hostname and secure it with SSL encryption.
Step 1: Configuring the Panel Hostname
- Navigate to System Settings > General.
- In the Panel Hostname field, enter your administrative domain (e.g.,
panel.yourcompany.com). - Click "Save Hostname".
Note: Ensure your DNS A record for this hostname points to the server IP before proceeding.
Step 2: Securing the Interface (SSL)
To prevent "Insecure Connection" warnings, you must establish an SSL uplink for the hostname:
- Automated Let's Encrypt: Click "Install SSL". The neural engine will perform a DNS challenge and establish the certificate.
- Manual Installation: If you have a commercial certificate, click "Manual SSL" and paste your Private Key and Certificate (CRT).
Step 3: Defining Global Nameservers
Scroll to the Nameservers section. Provide the Primary (NS1) and Secondary (NS2) designations. These will be automatically assigned to every new website established on this node.
MANUAL TIP: You can verify your SSL expiry date and issuer details directly in the "Hostname SSL Security" card after a successful installation.
