Mastering Complex Traffic Paths

For advanced web architectures, BoostonCP supports wildcard routing and protocol enforcement. Follow this manual to configure advanced redirection logic.

1. Wildcard Redirection Protocol

If you want to maintain the internal page structure during a redirect, enable Wildcard Redirect:

  • Example: old-site.com/about will redirect to new-site.com/about.
  • Without wildcard, all pages would simply go to the root new-site.com.

2. Enforcing HTTPS (Neural Uplink Security)

To ensure all traffic is encrypted, you can establish an HTTPS Enforcement rule. This automatically upgrades every http:// request to https://, improving your security score and SEO ranking.

SEO NOTE: Wildcard redirects are highly recommended when moving a blog or documentation site to a new domain to preserve link equity for individual pages.
