Managing User States and Service Enforcement

Administrative control involves monitoring user activity and enforcing service terms. Follow this manual to manage the lifecycle of your user accounts.

Step 1: Monitoring the User Ledger

The User Ledger displays all established accounts. Key telemetry points include:

  • Package Rank: The tier assigned to the user.
  • Website Count: Number of domains hosted by this user.
  • Status: Visual badge showing if the account is Active or Suspended.

Step 2: Executing Service Suspension

If a user violates terms or fails to pay, you can suspend their access:

  1. Find the user in the ledger.
  2. Click the "Suspend" (Pause) Icon.
  3. Effect: The system will instantly disable the user's websites, stop their cron jobs, and block their access to the User Panel.

Step 3: Unsuspension & Recovery

To restore service, click the "Unsuspend" (Play) Icon. BoostonCP will automatically reload the web server and re-enable all user processes.

Step 4: Permanent Account Termination

  1. To permanently remove a user, click the Trash (Delete) Icon.
  2. Confirm the deletion. WARNING: This will erase all files, databases, and mailboxes associated with the user account.
CRITICAL AUDIT: Always verify that you have a recent backup before terminating a user account, as this process erases data from the physical disk instantly.
