How to Configure Your Domain Infrastructure

The DNS Zone Editor allows you to point your domain to specific IP addresses and external services. Follow this manual to manage your primary resource records.

Step 1: Access the DNS Matrix

  1. Navigate to DNS Zone Editor from your User Dashboard.
  2. Select your target domain from the sidebar navigation.

Step 2: Adding a New Record

  1. Click the "Add Record" button.
  2. Name: Enter the host prefix (e.g., www) or use @ for the root domain.
  3. Type: Select the protocol:
    • A: Point your domain to an IPv4 address.
    • CNAME: Map a subdomain to another domain name.
    • TXT: Add site verification strings or SPF records.
  4. Value: Enter the destination IP or hostname.
  5. Click "Save Record".

Step 3: Editing Existing Entries

If you need to change an IP address or record value, click the Pencil (Edit) Icon in the records ledger. BoostonCP will update the zone file and reload the DNS engine instantly.
