How to Establish Secure Off-Site Redundancy

A reliable backup requires an independent storage destination. Follow this manual to connect your BoostonCP node to external storage ecosystems.

Step 1: Access the Storage Hub

Navigate to Backups in the Admin Panel. The default view is the Storage tab.

Step 2: Configuring FTP/SFTP Uplink

  1. Click on the FTP / SFTP storage card.
  2. Host: Enter the IP or hostname of your remote backup server.
  3. Protocol: Select SFTP (Port 22) for encrypted transmission (Recommended).
  4. Credentials: Provide the Remote User and Access Key (Password).
  5. Remote Path: Specify the directory (e.g., /backups/node_01).
  6. Click "Test & Save" to establish the link.

Step 3: Establishing Google Drive Link (OAuth)

  1. Click on the Google Drive card.
  2. Follow the neural prompt to "Authorize with Google."
  3. Log in to your Google account and grant BoostonCP permission to manage its own folder.
  4. Once redirected, the status badge will update to ACTIVE.
MANUAL TIP: Always check the Status Badge on each storage card. A "Not Connected" badge means the neural link is severed and backups will fail.
